Seating up to 1,985 patrons, Popejoy Hall is the largest venue of its kind in the state and the only hall in New Mexico that can host the biggest and best touring Broadway shows. The hall has hosted performances of Disney’s The Lion King, Wicked, Jersey Boys, The Book of Mormon, and many other touring Broadway shows.
Popejoy also hosts symphony concerts, musical soloists, and artists of international caliber; world-renowned ballet and modern dance companies; and noted speakers from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Popejoy Hall is a member of the Broadway League, producers of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (the Jimmy Awards) and the Tony Awards. Popejoy Hall is located at the intersection of Redondo and Cornell, just north of Central, on The University of New Mexico campus. |
