We adjudicate productions and performances based on our own set of rubrics. They are geared to evaluating the storytelling skills shown in the production and by the individuals we evaluate, and the authenticity exhibited by the performers.
The forms we use have two parts, a scoring sheet and an evaluation. The scoring sheet is an internal form. We do not share scores with schools or nominees, just as the Tony Awards do not share the numbers of votes each nominee gets. We send each evaluation from our adjudicators to the drama teachers in participating schools. To see our rubrics, go to our Rubrics page or download a copy (below) of the blank evaluation forms we use for productions and for individuals. |
