Benefits for participating schools

• We are the only program in New Mexico to adjudicate your production in your theater. We travel to you.
• We send a team of trained adjudicators versed in our rubrics who evaluate the production and specific performances in it. You get those evaluations which are all meant to help you improve your program.
• The students we evaluate are nominees to the Enchantment Awards as either Best Actors, Best Actresses, Best Supporting Actors, or Best Supporting Actresses.
• If any of your nominees are chosen as finalists for one of those four awards, they come to Albuquerque ahead of the Enchantment Awards performance to work with us and rehearse their portion of the show with our professional team.
• Best Actor/Actress nominees attend rehearsals and individual coaching sessions in Albuquerque starting about a week before the Enchantment Awards performance.
• Best Supporting Actor/Actress nominees arrive 24-48 hours ahead of the awards show and rehearse and attend a workshop to help them grow as performers.
• If your production is chosen as a finalist for one of our production awards (Best Production, Best Direction, Best Ensemble), your show will be asked to perform a number from your show during the Enchantment Awards.
• Your program is always represented by two of your students in our Directors Choice Chorus. 
• All Enchantment Award participants perform on stage in Popejoy Hall, New Mexico’s home for Broadway musicals.
• The two students chosen as Best Actor and Best Actress are sent to New York to participate in the Jimmy Awards at our expense where they work individually and in larger groups with Broadway professionals, and perform on a Broadway stage with about 100 of their peers from across the country.
  
• The Jimmy Awards bestows about 20 scholarships each year to their participants and each nominee sings before a panel of musical theatre leaders, where students can earn offers for professional auditions.
• We charge students nothing to participate.
• We charge schools only $175 to participate and that fee covers all parts of our program except transportation for students to take part.
• We provide meals during all rehearsals and housing for all students who cannot commute to the rehearsals. We want to make sure any student, regardless of economic circumstances, can participate in our program.
