The workshop

Whether you’re preparing for college auditions or working toward a career in the performing arts, this interactive master class is designed to help you audition with confidence. Led by Broadway National Tour performer and New Mexico native Jackson Murrieta, students will gain insight into what it takes to succeed in today’s audition room.

The class will cover audition techniques, song and material selection, résumé and headshot tips, what college programs are looking for, the realities of professional auditions, and how to stand out while staying authentic. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice drawn from real-world experience in the industry.

No matter where you are in your audition journey, you’ll leave with valuable tools, increased confidence, and a clearer understanding of the path from aspiring performer to working professional.
Jackson Murrieta

Jackson is a New Mexico native and graduate of Pepperdine University, where he earned degrees in Musical Theatre and Marketing.      Passionate about mentoring the next generation of performers, Jackson draws on his experiences navigating both college and professional auditions to share practical strategies, industry insights, and tools for building a sustainable career in musical theatre. His workshop is designed to help students approach every audition with confidence, authenticity, and preparation.
