Here are our winners for the 2026 Enchantment Awards! Congratulations to all! Thank you, high school drama students and teachers for an amazing year! We can't wait to celebrate with you again next year.
Best Actor — Zachary V. Brown, Albuquerque Academy, for the role of Bobby Strong in Urinetown
Best Actress — Mia Lopez Berkson, Organ Mountain High School, for the role of Scuttle in Disney’s The Little Mermaid
Best Supporting Actor — Troy Ainsworth, Organ Mountain High School, for the role of Chef Louis in Disney’s The Little Mermaid
Best Supporting Actress — Gillian P. Anderson, Portales High School, for the role of Young Anna in Disney’s Frozen
Spotlight Award — Drama Club, Valencia High School
Best Production — Albuquerque Academy for its production of Urinetown
Best Direction — Priscilla Chavez-Borjas, Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School for its production of Hadestown: Teen Edition

Our Best Actor and Best Actress now go on to the Jimmy Awards in New York City, where they learn from Broadway professionals and perform with over 100 of their peers from across the country

Saturday, April 24, 7:30pm in Popejoy Hall
We’re already planning for the 2027 Enchantment Awards, where as many as 150 students perform on stage in Popejoy Hall. We select the top 20 high school students in New Mexico from all those nominated to our program through our adjudication process. Those 20 perform that night as they compete to be chosen by our judges as Best Actress or Best Actor.
We also choose Best Supporting Actress and Actor winners from 20 nominees. Students from every registered school sing in our Directors Choice Chorus. Five high schools perform a number from their nominated show. All these students come together as a cast to put on a heck of a show!
