Report on us and the Jimmy Awards
Both our program and the Jimmy Awards are seeking one student to serve as a reporter. The student reporter will generate stories, social media posts, videos, and more about the Enchantment Awards and about the New Mexican students participating in the Jimmy Awards.
The person chosen for this position will have access to New Mexico’s participants in both programs and can report using official Enchantment Awards and Jimmy Awards channels as well as the student’s personal channels.
Our student reporter automatically becomes part of the Jimmy Awards team of student reporters, selected by programs like ours across the country, and will work directly with the Jimmy Awards digital team. That allows the reporter an insider look at the digital marketing strategy of Jimmy Awards coverage while gaining insight into the field as a whole.
While covering the Enchantment Awards, the student will receive guidance from our production team and wide-ranging access to participants and personnel during rehearsals and the production itself.
With the Jimmy Awards, the student will attend virtual sessions with industry mentors, join in social and educational sessions with the performer nominees and creative staff, and participate in press opportunities through the preparation and rehearsal week. Since both shows will be rehearsed and streamed online, all reporting will be done through virtual channels.
We seek current high school students with affinities in writing, video editing, video production and/or journalism, as well as a strong interest in or knowledge of theater. Any student nominated to our program must not be competing to participate as a performer nominee or in any other portion of the Enchantment Awards or Jimmy Awards.
