This is the registration process for years other than 2021.
The deadline to register for schools is four weeks before the opening night of your production. We guarantee that the first 20 programs to register will be adjudicated. Schools registering after the first 20 will be added to our wait list. We will notify each school of its status.
We will send an email confirmation of your registration within 72 business hours of receipt of your application. The confirmation will contain information as to status. If you do not receive an email receipt confirmation after three business days, you should assume there was trouble transmitting the application and should contact the program immediately. Do not assume we have received any documents we have not specifically confirmed.
Registration is completed online in two stages. First, register your school's production once you have secured the rights to the show by clicking the School Registration button below. Second, send us a list of the eligible cast members once you've cast the show by clicking the Student Registration form below. Please print and keep copies of all completed forms and payments for your school records. Registration will secure a place in the competition for the first 20 schools that meet the eligibility requirements.
Since we have added Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards, we ask that teachers nominate those students separately.
You may also submit an Intent to Participate form (click the button below). Submitting this form does not obligate your program to any fees or participation, but does help us make sure we can cover adjudication for your production. The Intent to Participate form is not a registration. It just puts your production on our radar.
In addition to registering online, all school applicants must pay a $150 registration fee per cast. All registration fees go directly to funding the program. School purchase orders cannot be accepted.
Checks should be made payable to NMHSMTA. Registration fees must be paid in order for a school, or its students, to participate in our awards show on May 10, 2020. Once we receive your registration form, we will invoice you for the fee.
The school's registration fee covers all aspects of its participation in the program including adjudication and evaluations, student nominees, production nominees, Directors Choice Chorus participants, and Jimmy Award nominees.
We require each student nominated for an individual award or for the Directors Choice Chorus to complete a student registration form. That way we know that they are interested in the program and will make themselves available for it. Each student nominated by his/her teacher should complete and return the form to us. The form can be completed online. We require at least one parent/guardian email address and we will send an email to that address to confirm the parent or guardian’s approval.
There is no fee for any student to participate. Any housing required for the student to participate will be provided in hotel room with roommates and chaperones as appropriate.
